Go Pro Hero 2

I'm glad I waited to get a Go Pro b/c waiting allowed me to get the Hero 2. Go Pro made some upgrades between their first camera to their current camera. I will be using this probably most for water and timelapses.

I also got the LCD screen to be able to see what I'm recording. I think that will come in handy. Hopefully I can get out to test it soon!

Fun Accessories

I got a few smaller things this week. First of all, I finally got an intervalometer! Man, I really procrastinated on that one. I could've used it so many times but at least I got one now. I'll use it primarily for timelapses. Since I already have a wireless trigger I don't really need to use it as a trigger. I've used them before so I am familiar with it, but I can't wait to gain some more experience with creating timelapses. Here's an example of my first timelapse called "nooga."

The second thing I got was a polarizer filter. I've been wanting to play with one for a while now. I decided to try it out to see if I could really notice the difference. I got a 52mm polarizer to fit either on my macro lens or my 50mm. Nothing too exciting but I'm sure they will provide me with joy and education! I already have something else coming in the mail that I'm much more excited for. Until next time...

Inner Harbor

I took a trip to the Baltimore Inner Harbor to test out my new wide angle lens. It was freezing (literally) so I didn't stay out there too long. Here's an example of one of the photos I got while out there.

You can subtly see the ducks blurred in the water.  I don't know how they stay in the water when it's so cold!

Gummy Bears

I bought a pack of gummy bears and decided to take a picture of them on the sunroof of my car. The only camera I had was on my iPhone but I think it turned out just fine.

Wide Angle

I love shooting with a wide angle lens. I've used one over the last couple years but I finally got one of my own. It's the Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 lens designed for crop senor cameras. This lens allow me to shoot ultra wide and get a cool perspective of objects or wide view of landscapes. I'm happy with my purchase from B&H.
